Dear Cousin Riya,

How have you been these days? For a long we have not been in contact with each other. Further, I cannot wait to share with you my experience of visiting to the dentist to sort out tooth cavity issue during my recent dental checkup experience.

Unfortunately, I was not successful in avoiding the tooth cavity issue. For several days, I was having a severe pain in my right molar, which is a common tooth cavity problem in students. Everything started with an uninvited swelling in the right side of the mouth. Having commenced with swelling, redness accompanied with severe pain. Brushing became an extremely torturous job for me for these past days. Due to horrible brushing, I gradually developed tooth cavity for which a visit to dentist became mandatory as part of oral health care routine. The checkup ended up with a long prescription of further visit to cure the cavity and mouth cleansing routine, which is essential for proper dental hygiene maintenance.

At the clinic, I was nervous and palpitating since this was my first time I came across cavity problem during a dentist visit experience. I am also embarrassed to reveal that unknowingly; I was fidgeting due to thoughts of pain. However, the doctor, Mr. Roy who is one of the renowned dentists in Kolkata was calm and patient. Then comes one of the most fearful events which is my entry into the doctor’s cabin. The machines there in the room sent a chill in my spinal cord. However, I tried to maintain my composure to not reveal my inner tensions. But the funny part is that Mr Roy was able to pry about my nervousness. He tried to calm me down so as to make the dental treatment process smooth and comfortable. My treatment started with a basic checkup which proceeded to some cleansing and prescription for tooth cavity treatment.

Altogether, I would say that my experience was a fruitful one. The visit helped me to amass a lot of knowledge and techniques pertaining to dental hygiene and oral care tips for students. I was previously deprived of such amazing knowledge. Dr. Roy demonstrated the three steps of mouth cleansing after the meal, which is very important for daily oral hygiene routine. He also recommended certain ayurvedic alternatives to toothpastes which I found quite intriguing as part of natural dental care methods. Further, the list of food items to avoid and other informations were given to me in a brochure. It is a must that we keep a track of our dental health by visiting regularly to a dentist for regular dental checkup benefits.

Now, I am feeling relaxed and good by sharing with you a lot of things. I hope we will meet soon. Take care of your health and maintain good oral hygiene habits.

Yours lovingly / Yours affectionately
Aishwarya
